The WASCAL Data Infrastructure (WADI) is a multi-purpose Infrastructure of hardware, software, network resources and information technology services to enable the collection, storage, management, discovery, access, sharing, and dissemination of primary and secondary data related to environment and Climate Change within the West African region. WADI includes;
- The Observations Networks from which raw data are collected and processed;
- The WASCAL Data Repository and Portals (WASREP) which an online platform for harvesting;storing/archiving, managing, publishing, sharing, and disseminating the data;
- the WASCAL High Performance Computing system (HPC) which provides big data computation and simulation of models and previsions;
- and the GIS Lab to provide value-added remote sensed data as a complement to limited ground data.
