TRAINING OF TRAINERS OF THE AUTHORITY OF NIGER BASIN SUPPORTED BY AFRICAN BANK DEVELOPEMENT
WASCAL and Abdou Moumouni University experts lead By Prof Koné Daouda, Prof Rabani Adamou and Prof Awais Aboubacar have conducted from July 25 to August 5th the training of trainers from 9 countries of Western Africa and Central Africa which belong to the Authority of Niger Basin. The training was supported by African Development Bank on 4 modules identify below.
the objective was to design training material and implement the training as part as part of the capacity building of trainers in terms of adaptation to the climate change in the Niger Basin. The Training organized as a short course was the cascade one where the trainees after one-week courses must train other experts in their respective countries. The 9 countries are below and more than 85 resources persons received the training. It was about 20 to 25 trainees per modules. WASCAL and UAM will monitor the trainee to make sur that the dissemination of the training will be conducted to enhance the skill of communities and improve their livelihood.
