Honourable Fatou Lamin Faye is the representative of The Gambia on the WASCAL  Governing board.

She holds a master’s degree of Education in Management and Vocational Education, a degree in vocational Education in Developing Countries, and a diploma in Social Development.

She served the Gambian Government first as Minister of Education and then as Minister of Basic and Secondary Education.

Before that, she served as Director of the Gambia  Technical Training  Institute  (GTTI)  . She also served  in a  number  of  Boards  of  Governors  and Committees, including The Gambian University Senate, project steering committee of the Community Skills Improvement Project (CSIP), the West African Examination Council, the international examination council, The NGO Affairs Agency Board, National  Training  Authority  Board, Chairperson, National Women’s Council, and the  ECOWAS  Gender  Technical  Commission.

She speaks, English, Wollof, and Mandinka.
